Almaty City Tour

Sightseeing Almaty City tour

(Duration of tour 6-8 hours)

December-January (the whole year!)

The City tour is very nice!

Almaty is located at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau - incredibly beautiful snow-capped mountains, which are a kind of "calling card" of the southern capital. At the same time, the city itself is buried in numerous green spaces. This creates such a powerful contrast that there is no limit to the truly immense admiration of visiting tourists. Alma-Ata has everything you need for a good rest and entertainment: modern supermarkets, night disco clubs, fabulous restaurants and, of course, world-famous ski resorts.

From 1927 to 1936, Alma-Ata was the second capital of the Kazakh USSR;
1936 to 1991 - the capital of the Kazakh USSR;
from 1991 to 1997 - the first capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Alma-Ata was the largest city of the Kazakh SSR, then became the largest city of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Despite the loss of the status of the political and administrative capital, it is the cultural and financial-economic center of the republic and remained the only millionaire city in the country until 2017, Astana was the second . The city is located at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains in the extreme south-east of the republic.

The various ancient cultural monuments found on the territory of the city confirm the hypothesis that long before the establishment of a historical settlement, nomadic and semi-settled tribes inhabited this area. The clearest evidence of this is the Saka mounds, built between the 6th and 3rd centuries BC.
